Nicolas Talbott visits his grandmother Rhoda Dineen as she recovers from open heart surgery at the Carroll Health Care Center in Carrolton, Ohio.

Nicolas Talbott (cq), a transgender man who lives with his grandmother on a small farm in eastern Ohio, is trying to enlist in the Air Force, but his efforts were slowed in July after President Donald Trump tweeted that the military would "not accept or allow" transgender people to serve in any capacity.
