Ogdensburg, Wisconsin -- Thursday, January 18, 2018

Maric Schachtschneider, 9, plays with his 2-year-old brother Aiven before farm chores with his brother Kholer, 8, at back left. The two eldest Schachtschneider brothers help with farm maintenance, including milking and feeding the cows using a skid steer, before and after school.

Three months earlier, Cullen Schachtschneider, 6, nearly lost his leg when he got tangled up with a machine on the family's small dairy farm near Ogdensburg, Wisconsin. Missing most of his kindergarten year, Schachtschneider has undergone multiple surgeries and skin grafts.
