WHITING, INDIANA --
Reigning pierogi eating contest champion William Pijarowski raises his hand to request more pierogis during the Pierogi Fest in Whiting, Indiana on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Teddy Delacruz, pictured at far left, won with a total of 44 pierogis.
The three-day festival, which has taken place every year since 1994, draws crowds from across the region and country to celebrate eastern European culture, traditions and foods.
