Washington, D.C. -- Saturday, May 9, 2020
Andrew Park poses for a portrait outside of the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
From the assignment:
Andrew Park, an analyst at an S&P publication, discussed ratings shopping with Senate staffers earlier this year, showing how the credit-rating industry is beholden to the borrowers that pay its fees. At the same time, S&P was loosening ratings on CLOs, which led to a big jump in market share. When S&P heard about Park's meeting, it fired him.
