At left, Verna Bailey holds a photograph of her and her brother Leo Red Horse in their childhood home where they lived with their grandparents Albert No Heart Sr. and Lucy Lean Elk, pictured at right.

Fifty years ago, the Army Corps of Engineers built the Oahu Dam, which flooded Bailey's grandparents' home.
