Dr. Lewis Ziska, a former plant physiologist at the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service, holds a copy of his book Our Daily Bread, which he worked on in his spare time. He now continues his research at Columbia University’s School of Public Health. Ziska, who published important findings on ways in which elevated levels of carbon dioxide is affecting the nutritional value of rice, said he felt that his research on climate change was stifled under the Trump administration.
