A Payday Loan Store is located less than a mile from the former site of Seaway Bank and Trust.

In January, Illinois state regulators closed Seaway Bank and Trust, determining that its financial health had so deteriorated that it couldn’t be saved. Under new management, it stands at 645 E 87th Street in Chicago's South Side.
