Thompson said he and his fellow barbers are taking a lot of precautions to protect the health and safety of their clients, including asking them to wait outside before they receive their haircuts.
Outside of Northern Virginia near Washington, D.C., the commonwealth has entered phase one of lifting business restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Beauty salons, restaurants and other nonessential businesses are now open in a limited capacity.
