Electrical apprentice Jacqueline Tyrone, at center, listens to instructions during a training session at the Chicago CRRC Sifang plant. CRRC Sifang received its first trains to be assembled in May of 2019 and is not up to full production. Several Chinese employees are on site for the summer to train the American workers.

From Ana Swanson:
Congress is considering legislation that would block the federal government from purchasing trains and buses from companies that are made by state-owned companies. The measure takes aim at a particular Chinese company, CRRC Sifang, which has set up a factory in Chicago's south side to manufacture trains for the city's subway.
